Problem

“Despite having 4+ years of academia studying specific subjects, I still didn’t know what to look for when it came time to look for work.”

Not too long ago, I became a recent graduate—hooray! Or so I thought… with a double major and minor, I had a vast set of interests. And, in all honesty, I didn't really know what to look for when it came time for the job hunt. Figuring I had plenty of transitional skills in my toolbox, I thought entering the job market would be relatively easy, but I was proven wrong. As I began job hunting, I became quickly overwhelmed— lost in a sea of roles and industries. Job titles all seemed the same and I couldn’t differentiate one role from the next. Moreover, this particular problem has been a perpetual case in point for many recent graduates. And so, my first project became a near and dear passion of mine. I wanted to find a solution that would help job seekers navigate the job market more easily.

Hypothesis

If students are not predisposed to job positions and titles, they will lack an understanding of the market landscape.
